APPENDAGE-

2007 dinner broke even with £50 surplus on raffle donated to Jimmy Bastow fund. i.e Ward 7 BRI. A thank you letter from the Hospital was circulated for all to read (letters printed below).  Tour breaks even.

After a record loss & a all time low bank balance due to some high expenditure & bad weather (no games - no subs) a proposal was made by the treasurer toMatt makes 1st appearance of season raise match fees to £2.00 for the 2008 season. After some debate this was agreed with a 8-4 vote in favour.

 3) Existing fixtures to be kept.  Hunslet Nelson to play early season. No fixture to be arranged for Wembly weekend. A possibility of a new fixture in York. Ollys will be running a 3rd team in Aire-Wharfe in 2008 it was hoped they could still fit us in. The debate wether to travel to Hardwick Hall resurfaced, the decision was left to Caggy & to see if they contacted us. It was decided to keep the Low Moor game at the end of the season, all agreeing that was the best time for it. Tour to Blackpool to be arranged, interest was stilll high even after last seasons washout.

Les Reeve makes a welcome visit.4) All officials reappointed (back to normal after last years upheaval).

  5) Dragons at Yeadon was again selected for the 47th annual dinner; Scottie was going to try & book fri 4th April, if not available, the 11th.

 6) Caggy would like some Jesters letter headed paper to send to clubs Hon Sec's; skipper to provide.

Neil Waite expressed a fear that the Jesters were becoming over-reliant on Rawdon players saying he had seen a similar thing with the Bradford Moor club who had become in fact Hall Park cc & ended up folding. A couple of 2007 games did have 8 RCC players but the last game at Arthington had 7 different club players. The skipper agreed & said he always tries to get a good cross section but some weeks finds it very difficult. It was also pointed out that when Eric was captain the club became Norwood Green orientated but survived ok.

 7)  This years winner does not normally attend the dinner, attempts to be made to get him there to collect!!!!!
