With all the Jesters padded up from the previous game common sense decreed we batted 1st.

spot the dumb animalWe followed the pattern of the 1st game with an early collapse with young seamer J.Watts making early inroads.

The innings was repaired by Aiden "ice man" Gill & stalwart John Nolah. V.c. Neil added late impetus to take us up to a competitive total.

The final score was assisted the the help of the zealous umpire from the Bradford league who declared before the game that all leg side balls would be called wide & kept true to his word.

The 2 opening bowlers again made inroads & Scottie mopped up with a "Michelle" including a cracking c&b but it was still not enough to win him the catching competition with skipper Bell. As in the previous game every chance offeredEric - present again was taken, a novelty for the Jesters.

Mention must be made of a classic Scottie run out. A hard hit drive was hit back of Steve's bowling, he stuck out a right boot & deflected the ball beautifully onto the stumps with the non striking batsman way out of his crease
