3) Existing fixtures to be retained. where possible No fixture to be arranged for Wembley weekend (August bank holiday). Barrie has received a letter from Undercliffe saying we would not be offered a fixture for 2010 as we were too "young & athletic" for their mainly "social" team, (no mention of Dobby not walking when out was in the letter!). Olly's fixture to be arranged again, it will be fine if the Sunday before stays dry & the Aire-Wharfe cup 1st round gets played. Low Moor fixture to be abandoned as the home club have no interest in playing it!!! Possible new fixtures are Lepton & a Yeadon church side who can play at Green Lane cc. Tour to Blackpool to be arranged again, with the possibility of a 4th fixture on the Monday if one can be arranged. Dale wondered weather we could find cheaper accommodation nearer the town centre. 4) All officials reappointed. The position of the club President, Eric Harrison was not clear as he had offered his resignation after the 2009 dinner shenanigans. The Jesters had replied that they did not wish to accept this resignation but nothing as been herd from Eric since. 5) Caggy has become a member of Cleakheaton sports club & any bad memories of last year have been forgotten so the 49th Annual dinner will be held there again in 2010, hopefully on Friday 26th March.( Easter is on the 2nd April this year) 6) As we had some money the possibility of buying NEW cricket balls was discussed, Ives to be sounded out on the best deal he could do for us. 2 queries as to the accuracy of the records have been made to the skipper:- book tampering added to allegations of ball tampering? a) Did Scottie's step-son bat at Oakworth in 1994? b) Did Mr Nasty take a hat trick at Meanwood hospital in 1973? Perusal of the scorebooks will be required - answers soon. Sanwiches were provided by the Thorhill venue & kindly paid for by local resident Andrew Carter - bother of the clubs founder, a Jester & Deputy leader of Leeds Council. Thanks to him. 7) When Dobby left the room for a cafe-creme the Tankard committee had a long discussion on the merits of 2 evenly matched candidates. Adopting a Ryder cup captain type arrangement where the destination of the next 2 years recipients was decided. Scottie did want to bring in a minimum 40 game qualification level - this was not agreed on. The meeting ended before the pub quiz started & free Yorkshire Pud's & gravy were handed out! 2008 tour stories were reminisced & mention of somebody called Ting Tong was mentioned - remember what goes on tour stays on this web site! **** & A happy new year to all our readers ***
